RC Dirt Oval Speedway is the biggest class in the USA, and with major manufacturers now making ready to run cars, this is a great way to go racing without having to worry about building, and with the onsite shop and spares, you can simply show up and race without having to worry about what you need, and our rules sets keep the cars as close to stock as possible.

As this discipline of RC racing is new we are working hard to make sure we keep the rules as easy as possible, to promote close action packed racing that anyone can get into and not require massive investment in upgrades to be competitive.
Losi 360 Sprintcars
The coolest looking, wildest driving RC dirt oval cars are Sprintcars. Thes cars are amazing to race and with our learnings we have created a rule set that ensures the fairest racing and means skills, setup and ability to read the track conditions will give you the best chance to be a consistent winner in this class. LateModels
The latest edition to the Losi 22 Series of Dirt Oval cars are the Late Models, or Super Saloons as we know them in NZ. Undoubtably the meanest looking RC built for a long time, based on the Sprint Car chassis, but longer means they are a lot easier to drive for a new racer. Current Rule Set

Midgets
Whip the wings off your Sprintcar and you have another car, being a Midget. No wings, lighter cars, means this is a difficult car to drive but once dialled so rewarding. We run a TMEZ Midget race annually with your chance to be the winner! Current Rule Set

Modified
The original Dirt Oval car was based on the 2WD Slash and then released by Traxxas as a ready to race dirt oval car. Traxxas threw everything at the kit and is still the highest Spec Slash ever released. Big scale, strong car that rewards racers with smiles and great racing everytime. Current Rule Set

Late model
Add a Late model body set to your Traxxas Modified and with the click and unclick of a body you can race another class. Late Model body changes the handling of the car a lot and these big bodies look amazing on track. We are currently reviewing rules to see how we can improve the experience for racers, but here is the current set. Current Rule Set

Course
Trucks
RIR entire philosophy of fun, racing and ease of racing around these amazing trucks. Traxxas Slash, HPI Jumpshot, Losi SCT are the backbone of the class, and makes your truck the most universally adaptable car for all racing here at RIR. A massive class and always a lot of fun and super competitive.
Juniors
Always one of the biggest classes, we allow any new racer, whether young or old to race in this class, and we restrict the cars to 50% power, so we can teach the new/younger racers how to race properly before we release them to other classes. And always super close!!
